Heidi & Tom – Wedding Photography at The Hospitium, York
After a long long time, I have finally got round to putting this beautiful York wedding up on the blog. Things seem to have been so busy over the last few months, both personally and professionally, that I just have not had any time to dedicate to actually adding much new content on to the website.
I definitely had to add this wedding though, it was held at the Hospitium in York, and was jam packed full of fun, laughter, beauty and charm! The wedding was a fusion of the brides Chinese heritage and grooms Polish traditions. They were both great fun all day, and really enjoyed and soaked up the fantastic atmosphere. Sometime on a wedding day, it can be so hectic and busy that the bride and groom get little time together. It’s nice sometime to be able to just take a little step back and take a big breath, otherwise the day can be over before you know it.
When I take the bride and groom away for some couples pictures after the ceremony, I do always try to encourage them to just take a few minutes. Heidi and Tom certainly enjoyed this moment together away from the crowd, and it was also handy to have some bubbly to hand in between shots!
The bride and groom pictures are generally done in as natural a way as possible, I punctuate with some more posed pictures, but I encourage natural interactions which I then capture from a distance. I used a long lense for the majority of these photos as I do normally, this is so that it doesn’t feel like I am on top of you and in your face! Heidi and Tom were then relaxed, which definitely comes across in the final photos. Relaxed and happy couple = beautiful and natural photos
